GCST finishes 11th at Junior Olympics with some great swims and 3 new team records

GCST swimmers wrapped up JO's with some great swims and huge time drops. Savannah Bowser had 2 event wins in 10 & Under Girls. Savannah also broke the 10 & Under Girls GCST record in the 50 Back with a 36.83 (Chelsea Franklin 2001), as she led off the record breaking Girls 200 Medley Relay with Olivia Horton, Bean Faunce, and Kendall Brent. The GCST 13 & 14 Boys crushed the team record in the 200 Free Relay with Rich McCaw, Nicholas Ortega, Jurgen Steinwarz, and Alex Latorre.

Savannah Bowser finished 4th in the 10 & Under Girls 200 Im (2:46.29), and 5th in the 100 Back (1:21.26). Lucca Delcompare finished 4th in the 10 & Under Boys 200 IM (2:52.28). Roman Horoszewski finished 8th in the 10 & Under Boys 100 Back (1:25.83). Courtney DeVeny finished 14th in the 11 & 12 Girls 200 IM (2:43.96). Blake Woodrow finished 9th in the 11 & 12 Boys 200 IM (2:41.11). Hannah Albion finished 11th in the 13 & 14 Girls 1500 Free (18:43.94). Alex Latorre finished 15th in the 13 & 14 Boys 200 Back (2:30.71). Douglas Woodrow finished 15th in the 13 & 14 Boys 1500 Free (19:15.54). Nicholas Ortega finished 16th in the 13 & 14 Boys 100 Breast (1:20.97).

Lucca Delcompare was the top placer on Satuday morning as he finished 2nd in the 10 & Under Boys 100 Fly (1:16.54). Savannah Bowser finished 7th in the 10 & Under Girls 100 Fly (1:17.32). Bean Faunce finished 13th in the 10 & Under Girls 100 Fly (1:24.47). Courtney DeVeny finished 14th in the 11 & 12 Girls 50 Back (34.56). Blake Woodrow finished 12th in the 11 & 12 Boys 100 Fly (1:13.94), and 6th in the 400 Free (4:46.48). Matt Nielsen finished 15th in the 11 & 12 Boys 400 Free (4:57.53). Hannah Albion finished 8th in the 13 & 14 Girls 400 Free (4:43.37). Rich McCaw finished 14th in the 13 & 14 Boys 200 Fly (2:29.80), and 14th in the 50 Free (27.51). Friday started out with more fast swims for GCST as Savannah Bowser claimed her 2nd title in the meet with a win in the 10 & Under Girls 200 Free (2:23.67). Bean Faunce finished 11th in the 10 & Under Girls 100 Breast (1:38.53). Lucca Delcompare finished 4th in the 10 & Under Boys 200 Free (2:26.76) and Roman Horoszewski finished 11th (2:36.21). Lucca Delcompare finished 6th in the 10 & Under Boys 100 Breast (1:37.08). Blake Woodrow finished 12th in the 11 & 12 Boys 200 Free (2:20.15). Hannah Albion finished 13th in the 13 & 14 Girls 400 IM (5:31.00). Nicholas Ortega finished 15th in the 13 & 14 Boys 200 Breast (2:52.24). Alex Latorre finished 8th in the 13 & 14 Boys 400 IM (5:10.13), and Nicholas Ortega finished 11th (5:09.91). GCST's 13 & 14 Boys finished 8th in the 200 Free Relay. Savannah Bowser led the way this morning as she won the 10 & under Girls 400 Free with a 4:57.89, and finished 3rd in the 100 Free (1:07.93). The GCST 10 & Under Girls broke the team record in the 200 Medley Relay to finish 6th. In the 10 & Girls 400 Free, Olivia Horton finished 13th (5:36), Michelle Wahlund finished 14th (5:37), and Bean Faunce finished 16th (5:42). On the boys side, 10 & Under Boys 400 Free, Lucca Delcompare finished 4th (5:16.45), and Roman Horoszewski finished 5th (5:16.89. 10 & Under Boys 100 Free, Lucca Delcompare 3rd (1:07.95), and Roman Horoszewski 6th (1:11.06). 13 & 14 Boys 200 Medley relay finished 10th. Hannah Albion finished 11th in the 13 & 14 Girls 800 Free (9:44.91). Blake Woodrow finished 5th in the 11 & 12 Boys 800 Free (9:35.81), and Matt Nielsen finished 10th (10:05.74). Alex Latorre finished 9th in the 13 & 14 Boys 800 Free (9:20.68), and Nicholas Ortega finished 12th (9:27.65). GCST 13 & 14 Boys finished 10th in the 200 Medley Relay.
