GCST swimmers lead the way in Southwest Florida at Junior Olympics
GCST swimmers have an outstanding Junior Olympics as we finished the meet in 7th place in the Team Scoring to move into the Top 10 for 6 straight years in the Summer Junior Olympics, and we are the HIGHEST placing team from Southwest Florida. Our girls finished the meet in 6th place and the boys finished 10th overall.

Madeline Willoughby finished the meet as the top 9 year old in Florida Swiming JO Meet with her 3rd place finish in the 50 Free...GCST in 8th place
Madeline Willoghby finished 3rd in the 10 & Under Girls 50 Free (32.22), and tied for 6th in the 200 IM (2:56.83). Qualifying for tonight's finals are Blake Woodrow, Courtney DeVeny, Michael Pineda, Savannah Bowser, Kaitlyn Hauser, Lucca Delcomapre, Bean Faunce, and Matt Nielsen.

Blake Woodrow finished 5th in the 13-14 Boys 200 Fly (2:16.81), and 5th in the 400 Free (1:21.56). Savannah Bowser finished 2nd in the 11-12 Girls 400 Free (4:37.87), and 8th in the 11-12 Girls 100 Fly (1:10.39). Bean Faunce finished 11th in the 11-12 Girls 100 Fly (1:12.11) Kaitlyn Hauser won the Consol Final in the 11-12 Girls 400 Free (4:52.20), and finished 16th in the 11-12 Girls 100 Fly (1:15.81). Lucca Delcompare finished 8th in the 11-12 Boys 100 Fly (1:11.21), and 12th in the 400 Free (4:51.94). Thomas Malooly finished 14th in the 11-12 Boys 100 Fly (1:13.58). Courtney DeVeny finished 8th in the 13-14 Girls 100 Back (1:09.18). Matt Nielsen finished 12th in the 13-14 Boys 400 Free (4:24.08). Savannah Bowser finished 2nd in the 11-12 Girls 200 Free (2:14.20). Kaitlyn Hauser finished 8th in the 11-12 Girls 200 Free (2:20.82). Lucca Delcompare finished 13th in the 11-12 Boys 200 Free (2:16.36). Courtney DeVeny won the Consol Final to finish 9th in the 13-14 Girls 400 IM (5:09.43), and broke the GCST record (Chelsea Franklin 2005). Blake Woodrow finished 4th in the 13-14 Boys 400 IM (4:54.06). Bean Faunce finished 11th in the 11-12 Girls 100 Breast (1:26.45), and lowered her own GCST Record in the event. Qualifying for Finals: Blake Woodrow, Courtney DeVeny, Bean Faunce, Kaitlyn Hauser, Lucca Delcompare, Michael Pineda, and Savannah Bowser. Bean Faunce broke the 11-12 Girls GCST record in the 100 Breast (Lyndsey Roka 2003) with a 1:27.67. GCST 13-14 Girls 200 Free Relay finished 15th, and the Boys finished 6th. GCST 11-12 Girls 200 Free Relay finished 6th, and the Boys Relay was 14th.
