GCST SWIMMERS DOMINATE AT DISTRICT 2A-10 MEET

All GCST swimmers move on to Regionals....Molly DuBrasky hits All-American standard...3 GCST swimmers are Double District Champions


GCST Swimmers had an outstanding night at the District 2A-10 meet at FGCU on October 15th.  Molly DuBrasky, Courtney DeVeny, and Kyle Snew continued their winning ways as they each won 2 events, and Molly being the only swimmer in the meet to post an All American Automatic Time in the 500 Free.

DuBrasky cruised to wins in the 200 and 500 Free with dominating performances in each event.

crushed the field in the 200 Im and 100 Back to win her first District titles as a freshman. 
Kyle Snew
is the District Champion in the 200 IM, and the 500 Free with very strong swims as he won both by several body lengths over the other competitors in the meet.


All GCST high school swimmers moved on to Regionals by finishing in the Top 8.  Blake Woodrow posted some very nice swims in the 500 Free (3rd), and the 100 Fly (3rd). Kyle Marshall had sesonal best times in the 200 Free (3rd), and 500 Free (5th).  Michael Pineda had some very fast times in the 50 Free (4th), and the 100 Free (4th). Lexi Faunce had a great night as she qualified in the 500 Free (8th), and the 100 Back (4th). Alex Latorre had an outstanding night as he posted some great times in his last District meet in the 100 Fly (4th), and the 100 Breast (5th). Nicholas Ortega posted some strong swims in the 200 IM (5th), and the 100 Back (4th).  Eddie Zacka did a great job in his first District meet in the 100 Back (5th), and the 200 IM (8th). Nikki McCollum did a great job in her first District meet as she won the consol heat of the 200 Free, and swam a personal best in the 100 Back (5th).  

GCST girls swimmers led Estero High School to relay wins in the 200 Medley, and the 400 Free with Molly DuBrasky swiming a personal best splits of 52.67, and Courtney DeVeny swimming a personal best split of 55.89.  Lexi Faunce swam a personal best split on the 400 Free Relay with a 58.62. All 3 girls were also on the 200 Medly relay as well.
