Molly DuBrasky Named 2011 Florida Dairy Farmers Girl's Swimmer of the Year

Estero High School senior, Molly DuBrasky was named the 2011 Florida Dairy Farmers Girls’ 2A Swimmer-of-the-Year following a final round of voting by a statewide panel of high school swimming coaches.  DuBrasky is the 20th winner of the annual award sponsored by Florida Dairy Farmers, Inc. and the Florida Athletic Coaches Association to honor the top high school girls’ swimmer for the 2011 season.

DuBrasky won both the 200-yard Freestyle (1:48.34) and the 500-yard Freestyle (4:45.77) at the FHSAA Class 2A State Championships for the third year in a row, making her a five-time state title winner.  Furthermore, DuBrasky led Estero High School Girls Swim Team to a 4th place finish at the Class 2A State Finals.  In addition, she was named Lee and Collier County’s Female Swimmer-of-the-Year and named All-America the past three seasons.

The Florida Dairy Farmers Sports Awards program exemplifies Dairy Farmers Inc.’s commitment to the state’s youth.  While honoring the state’s top athletes and coaches in all 26 FHSAA-sanctioned sports, the program also emphasizes to young people the importance of keeping dairy products a primary part of their diet in their overall nutrition plan.
