Heat Alert...Drink Fluids!!!

Temperatures are starting to rise quickly during our afternoon workouts. It is very important to keep your swimmer hydrated with cold liquids during hard training sessions.  Clear plastic bottles are unacceptable as they heat up quickly in the sun.  The swimmer then has nothing but hot water or Gatorade to drink during the workout. 

Disposable plastic bottles are NOT allowed at any GCST workout at any pool. 
Each swimmer should have an insulated plastic jug, with cold water or sport drink mix available during each workout, and swim meet.

Don’t forget the sunscreen!!!
