DeVeny, Jordan, and Woodrow Claim 4 District Titles at 2A-10 Meet
Courtney DeVeny, Danilea Jordan, and Blake Woodrow win District Titles
GCST high school swimmers posted some impressive times at the 2A-10 District Meet with several personal best times. Courtney DeVeny picked up 2 District Titles as she won the 200 IM (2:09.32), and the 100 Back (58.02). Danilea Jordan won the District Title in the 100 Free with an outstanding 54.31. Dani also finished 3rd in the 200 IM. Lexi Faunce finished 2nd in the 200 Free Final with a personal best 1:59.80, and finished 3rd in the 500 Free with a 5:19.20. Lauren McLeod finished 2nd in the 500 Free as she posted a personal best time of 5:11.59, and 4th in the 100 Fly with a 1:00.95. Nikki McCollum finished 4th in the 500 Free with a 5:20.42, and 6th in the 100 Back with a 1:05.87 to swim personal bests in both events. Blake Woodrow won the 100 Fly to claim a District Title in the event with a come from behind 53.70. Blake also finished 4th in the 200 IM with a 2:00.69. Eddie Zacka finished 5th in the 200 IM with a personal best time of 2:03.72, and 8th in the 500 Free with a personal best time of 5:54.09. Michael Pineda had an outstanding 4:42 in prelim heats of the 500 Free to go into Finals as the top seed, and a very good 23.04 in the 50 Free. Michael finished 7th in the 500 Free, and 6th in the 50 Free. Daniela Gallego finished 6th in the 200 IM, and 7th in the 100 Fly. All swimmers advanced to Regionals.
