Jingle Bell Meet: 2 New Team Records, 60 New Cuts, 9 HP Winners, 228 BT's

GCST swimmers had a great showing at the Jingle Bell meet in Clearwater, Fl. GCST had the 9th largest team in the meet but due to outstanding performances by our swimmers we finished 3rd overall, and claimed the 2nd place Visiting Team trophy. Our 13-14 Girls had an outstanding meet with dominating performances in many events as they also won the Age Group High Point.

BEST TIMES: GCST swimmers had an amazing 228 best times out of 251 swims.

GCST Results with Improvements

New Cuts: GCST had 60 new championships quailfying times in the meet with Courtney DeVeny swimming under the NCSA Junior National standard in the 200 yard Back. Our swimmers turned in 17 new FLAG cuts, 12 new Sr. Champs cuts, and 30 new Sectional cuts.

NEW TEAM RECORDS: Darrein Heil broke the 11-12 Boys GCST Record in the 200 Yard Breaststroke held by Michael Roka. Courtney DeVeny broke the 15-16 Girls 200 Back record held by Chelsea Franklin.

HIGH POINT WINNERS: McKenna Fiore won the 8 & Under Girls 2nd place High Point Award. Joshua Benzon won the 2nd place 10 & Under Boys High Point Award. Paige Madden won the 2nd place High Point Award for 11-12 Girls. Darrien Heil tied for 1st in the 11-12 Boys High Point standings to win a trophy. Danilea Jordan won the 13-14 Girls High Point Award. Savannah Bowser won the 2nd place 13-14 Girls High Popint Award. Courtney DeVeny won the 3rd place High Point Award for Senior Girls. Michael Pineda won the 2nd place High Pont Award for Senior Boys. Eddie Zacka tied for 3rd in the Senior Boys standings to win a High Point Award.

TOP 10 IN POINTS: Mikayla Puckett finished 7th in 10 & Under Girls. Zach Brewer finished 8th in 10 & Under Boys. Jessie Walsh finished 5th in the 11-12 Girls. Bean Faunce finished 4th in the 13-14 Girls standings. Lauren McLeon finished 5th in the 13-14 Girls standings. Kaitlyn Hauser finished 6th in the 13-14 Girls standings. Lexi Faunce finished 7th in the Senior Girls standings.
