GCST swimmers made 9 new championships cuts at Sectionals

Meet Results, New Cuts, and Improvements

Sunday:  Courtney DeVeny swam the 4th fastest time in the prelims of the 200 Back with a 2:20, and then finished 8th in the A final with a 2:22.  Matt Nielsen swam a 16:59 in the 1500 Free to finish 18th with a personal best time.  Eddie Zacka swam a personal best time in the 1500 free.  Lexi Faunce swam a personal best time in the 800 Free. Nikki McCollum swam a personal best time in the 200 back.

Saturday:  Courtney DeVeny finished 7th in the B Final of the 100 Back with a 1:07.67. Savannah Bowser finished 5th in the 400 Free D Final with a 4:33.56 after swimming a best time in the prelims with a 4:32.92. Bean Faunce swam a personal best time in the 200 Im with a 2:35.83. Matt Nielsen swam a personal best time in the 400 Free with a 4:15.22.

Friday:  Courtney DeVeny finished finished 5th in the B Final of the Women's 400 IM with a 5:06.06.  Savannah Bowser finished 5th in the D Final of the Women's 400 Im with a 5:15.54.  Blake Woodrow finished 7th in the Men's 400 IM C Final with a 4:54.48.  Michael Pineda swam a best time in the 100 Breast (1:15.48), Bean Faunce swam a personal best in the 100 Breast (1:24.03), Lexi Faunce swam a personal best in the 200 Free (2:16.64), and led off the 800 Free Relay and dropper her time again to a 2:16.06.  Matt Nielsen swam best times in the 200 Free (2:01.78), and the 400 IM (5:01.68).  Eddie Zacka swam a best time in the 200 Free (2:04.26), and 400 IM (4:59.50).

Thursday Night:  Savannah Bowser finished 7th in the Womens 1500 Free with a personal best time of 17:52.06 .  Kaitlyn Hauser finished 14th in the 1500 Free with a 18:16.57, Hannah Albion finished 17th with an 18:25.38, and Lauren McLeod finished 20th  with an 18:29.01.
