2A REGION 4: MANY GCST BEST TIME SWIMS
GCST swimmers put up some outstanding swims at the FHSAA 2A Region 4 meet at FGCU on November 1, 2012. Michael Pineda posted prelim best times in the 50 Free with a 22.44, and a 48.6 in the 100 Free. Michael finished 6th in both events in Finals. Eddie Zacka swam personal best times in the 200 IM at 2:01 to finish 5th, and the 500 Free with a 4:43 morning effort, and won the Consol Final Consol to finish 9th overall with a 4:44. Kaitlyn Hauser had 2 personal best times with a 2:11 200 IM to finish 4th, and a 5:08 in the 500 Free to finish 6th at Finals. Savannah Bowser swam a personal best 2:11 in the Finals of the 200 IM to finish 3rd at Finals, and 5:03 in the prelim heats of the 500 Free, and then 5:04 to finish 5th in Finals. Courtney DeVeny finished 2nd in the 200 IM Final with a very good 2:08, and 5th in the 100 Back with a 59. Blake Woodrow swam a season best 4:41 to make it into Finals of the 500 Free, and finished 7th in the events, and finsihed 6th in the 100 Fly with a 54. Lexi Faunce finished 10th in the 500 Free with a 5:17, and 12th in the 200 Free with a 2:01. Ryan Sorenson swam a personal best time of 24.06 in the prelim heats of the 50 Free.
