GCST HAS BIG IMPROVEMENTS AND GREAT SWIMS IN THE GCST SUMMER INVITE AT FGCU
GCST hosted the SWF Nuerosurgical Associates Summer Invitational at FGCU on June 13-16, 2013, and came away with some outstanding swims and times drops from almost all of our athletes.
High Point Winners: Ethan Holter won the Runner-Up High Point Award for 8 & Under Boys
Event Winners: Bean Faunce, and Hannah VanDress,
New Records: 5 GCST records fell at the meet with Bean Faunce breaking the 13-14 Girls 100 Breast, 200 Breast, and the 200 IM records. Courtney DeVeny broke the 17-18 Girls 100 Back record. Lexi Faunce broke the 17-18 Girls 200 Back record.
New Cuts: GCST swimmers made 29 new Championship meet qualifying times. Bean Faunce swam first time NCSA Junior National cuts in the 400 IM, and 200 Fly. Savannah Bowser made a first time NCSA Junior National cut in the 400 Free.
New Summer Sectional cuts were made by Bean Faunce, Lexi Faunce, and Eddie Zacka.
New Senior Champs cuts were made by Elijah Benzon, and Eddie Zacka.
New FLAGS cuts were made by Joshua Benzon, Imriel Coughlin, Bean Faunce, Darrien Heil, Isabella Marsala, and Antonio Medina.
