SWIMMERS: TEMPS RISING...YOU NEED TO HYDRATE DURING PRACTICE!
SENIOR AND JUNIOR TEAM SWIMMERS MUST HAVE AN INSULATED JUG / COOLER DURING PRACTICE!
Temperatures are starting to rise quickly during our afternoon workouts. It is very important to keep hydrated with cold liquids during hard training sessions. Drinking during practice helps maintain good training performance.
Clear plastic bottles are unacceptable as they heat up quickly in the sun. The swimmer then has nothing but hot water or Gatorade to drink during the workout.
Disposable plastic bottles are NOT allowed at any GCST workout at any pool.
Each swimmer should have an insulated plastic jug, with cold water or sport drink mix available during each workout, and swim meet.
Don’t forget the sunscreen!!!
