A SWIMMER'S POEM...GREAT READ!
Twelve enduring hours
In six out of seven days a week
The son of David surrenders his time
And endowment to a swimming pool
Competition is spiteful and fierce, therefore
Disciplined training is vital
For the seize of accomplishment in the terminal of a season
Be that as it may, vigorous work is of immense benefit
The gleam of a sententious medal is a feast to one’s eye
Full of reminiscence of past triumph
Yet the fulfillment of success
Can first suffer in grievous oppression
Taunting antagonistic thoughts fill the mind
As nerves stir up the body
In expectance for the spring off the block
To the near bottom of the pool
So one must angle to presumptuous speculation
As well as preserve God in the center of heart and mind
Aware that all strength and intrepidity appears only with him
And one is never faultless without his coach
The one who contributes as much time and potency as his student
To educate, tutor, and teach every new and improved skill
That can bring one’s achievement to the superior level
Ensuring the pure bliss and satisfaction
His scholar had longed for
