31 New Championship Cuts Made at the SWIM Fall Invitational...11 High Point Award Winners GCST swimmers started the short course season with some oustanding swims and several high point award winners at the SWIM Fall Invitational. 31 new championship cuts made. 22 event winners. GCST has just been awarded Level 3 out of 4 levels in the USA Swimming Club Recognition Program. The Club Recognition Program offers our club members a working blueprint for developing strong, stable, financially sound and athletically productive organizations. Designed over a two year period by USA Swimming’s Club Development Committee, this voluntary program presents four levels of achievement across four component areas deemed critical to long-term club success. GCST swimmers have a blast at Juniors...Time drops in 11 of 14 swims for best JR. Nationals ever The Long Course Junior Nationals in Seattle, Wa has been the most successful Juniors for GCST ever. We had 11 of 14 swims that were personal best times, and 2 swims were seasonal best times. We landed in Seattle on Sunday and went downtown to see the Space Needle. Heather Roka cleans up at Master Nationals with a 2nd and two 3rds Thursday Results: A big day for Heather Roka with 2 swims today. Heather finished 2nd overall in the Women's 200 Fly with a 2:30.35 and 2nd in her age group.Heather also picked up another 3rd in the 400 Free with a 4:40.50. at the USA Masters National Long Course Championships in Indianapolis, IN. Florida Zone Team wins 3rd title Blake Woodrow helped lead Florida Swimming to a 3rd straight team title in 2009 Southern Zone Age Group Championships held in Orlando, FL on July 28 through August 1st. Wednesday Results....Blake finished 9th in the 11 & 12 Boys 200 Free. Thursday Results....Blake swam to a 2nd place finish in tonight’s 400 Free Final with a 4:26.40.
