Is GCST the right team for you?
Do you want them to have fun? Children can have fun while getting sub-par training and the resultant experience of not improving relative to others, and they can have fun while working hard and developing relative to others. Fun and working hard are not mutually exclusive, in fact over time those improving in their swimming capabilities are the ones having the most fun and stick with the sport. Children not having fun tend to quit, no matter how hard or easy a practice is.
Do you want them to learn? Do you want your child to learn discipline, self-respect, mental toughness, etc? Naturally, those things are the building blocks your child will need to succeed in today's world as a teenager and an adult. At GCST proper stroke technique is the first step to your child’s success. Without learning the fundamentals of competitive swimming your child can only progress so far in the sport. Proper technique is taught and reinforced by all of our coaches throughout the program. Our coaches pay attention to the swimmers and watch for mistakes, and give correction for improvement.
Is the team structure important to you? GCST was built for success using the programs established by USA Swimming as a guideline. GCST is not revenue driven by having large volumes of swimmers in the program. GCST is value driven to give you the best available coaching and swimmer development for your money.
