GCST SWIMMERS CLAIM 3 REGION TITLES
GCST's Molly DuBrasky, and Courtney DeVeny are the only Regional Champions from Lee County in the 2A Meet
GCST high school swimmers crank some big swims at 1A and 2A Regions with several Top 8 finishes. Molly DuBrasky led the way with Region titles in the 200 and 500 Free with her fastest times of the season and All American time standards. Molly posted an outstanding 51.87 in the 400 Free Relay anchor leg as she almost won the relay for Estero. Courtney DeVeny was our other Region champion with her win the 200 IM. Courtney was the runner-up in the 100 Back with personal best times. Kyle Snew was a runner-up in the 200 IM, and 3rd in the 500 Free with seasonal best times. Hannah Albion was the 1A runner-up in the 200 Free, and finished 3rd in the 500 Free with personal best times. Matt Nielsen was the 1A runner-up in the 500 Free and finished 7th in the 200 Free. Alex Latorre finished 6th in the 100 Breast, and 8th in the 100 Fly with perosanl best times. Michael Pineda finished 7th in the 50 Free, and 6th in the 100 Free with personal best times. Blake Woodrow finished 7th in the 100 Fly, and 8th in the 500 Free with personal best times. Kyle Marshall finished 7th in the 200 Free. Eddie Zacka finished 7th in the 100 Back with a personal best time. Swimming events in Consol Finals were Nikki McCollum, Lexi Faunce, Eddie Zacka, Kyle Marshall, and Nicholas Ortega.
Lexi Faunce, Courtney DeVeny, Molly DuBrasky, and Katelyn Lawson (SF) teamed up for Estero HS to win the Region title in the 200 Medley.
