Harry Stephenson has been selected to the 2010-2011 National Youth Team based on his 4th place finish in the 10k Open Water event at the Junior Pan Pacs in Maui, HI on August 30th. This is Harry's 2nd year on the US National Youth Team. Congratulations Harry!

GCST had an outstanding Summer Long Course season. Molly DuBrasky finished 24th in the 200 Meter Fly at Junior Nationals. Harry Stephenson will compete in his 3rd trip with the USA Swimming National Youth Team in Maui, HI. Harry also competed in Barcelona, Spain in June, and Guam in January. GCST swimmers competed in the T2 Aquatics Mini Summer Invite at the Norris Aquatic Center on August 14th. The meet was a lot of fun and a great way to finish the summer. The age group swimmers at the North Fort Myers branch of GCST were happy to have Harry Stephenson visit our pool. Harry donated his training time from GCST's senior team to give a presentation about his experiences in swimming, including a motivational talk about what it takes to be a champion, what he has experienced when he qualified for the USA Swimming National Youth Team, and presented a slide show of his travels as a swimmer on the National Youth Team. Molly DuBrasky finished 8th in the C Final of the 200 Fly. Molly DuBrasky swam a lifetime best time in preliminary heats of the 200 fly to qualify for tonights C Finals with a 2:17.56. Molly breaks 100 and 200 Fly team records. Molly swam a very nice 800 Free despite her goggle strap breaking as she stepped onto the starting blocks. Molly is one tough customer and swam a nice race leading the field most of that way and finishing 2nd in the heat by a touch from lane...
