GCST had 55 swimmers attend the SWIM Pentathlon Meet in Ft. GCST traveled to Clearwater for the Jingle Meet on December 14-16, 2012.   GCST finished the meet in 3rd place in the team standings despite being the 10th largest team in the meet.  Our swimmers stepped up and had some big time drops and great finals swims.   GCST swimmers produced 40 new and improved championship time standards. GCST competed in the Turkey Meet at Sarasota, FL on November 16-18, 2012.  GCST swimmers made 17 new championship time standards in the meet.  Bean Faunce won the 13-14 Girls High Point Trophy.  Joshua Benzon was the 10 & Under boys 2nd Place High Point Trophy winner.  GCST won the 3rd place Visiting Team Trophy Event Winners: Bean Faunce, Hannah Albion, Joshua Benzon, Savannah Bowser, and Michael Pineda. GCST Coach Gregg Cross has been appointed to the USA Swimming Open Water Development Committee.  Coach Gregg is the Event Director for the Open Water Festival held in Fort Myers each year and has watched it grow larger each year into one of the premier open water events held in the US.
