GCST Coach Gregg Cross has been appointed to the USA Swimming Open Water Development Committee.  Coach Gregg is the Event Director for the Open Water Festival held in Fort Myers each year and has watched it grow larger each year into one of the premier open water events held in the US.  GCST swimmers had some very good swims at the FHSAA 1A Region 3 Meet at Sarasota on Saturday November 3, 2012. GCST swimmers put up some outstanding swims at the FHSAA 2A Region 4 meet at FGCU on November 1, 2012.  Michael Pineda posted prelim best times in the 50 Free with a 22.44, and a 48.6 in the 100 Free.
