GCST hosted the 2025 Florida Open Water Championships at Fort Myers Beach, FL on April 6th. We finished 2nd in the Team Combined Standings for the 3rd straight year. We won the Girls Team Standings with some outstandings finishes. Karter Seluk, and Katia Bushko went 1, 2 in the overall 5K results. Karter won the 13-14 Girls with Katia winning the 15-16 Girls 5k. Karter Seluk competed in the 2025 USA Swimming Open Water Junior National Championship in Sarasota on April 5th. She finished the race in thje 9th place and was the highest Florida girl finisher in the event. Great job Karter!

GCST swimmers had a great FLAGS South meet at Sarasota, FL. Kallen Garnier-Chan led the team with 84 points for boys, followed by Karter Seluk with 67 points on the girls side. GCST Masters swimmer, Tomas Rodriguez had an outstanding meet in Orlando at the Rowdy Gaines Classic at the Rosen Aquatic Center. -American record 400 IM 5:52.50 (time to beat was 5:55.03 from Fort Lauderdale) -American record 100 IM 1:17.15 (time to beat was 1:18.36 from Fort Lauderdale) -American record 200 back 2:55.58 (time to beat was 2:58.35 from Fort Lauderdale) -Season best 200 fly 2:41.94, swam 2:42.02 in Fort Lauderdale Luke Albitz competed in the meet and had 2 best times, 1 event win, and 5 Top 8 finishes.
