GCST swimmers raced well in the 2024 RAFC Winter Classic in Orlando on Dec. 5-8. Jude Maus made his first FLAGS cut in the 11-12 Boys 100 Back. Nicholas Kirby broke GCST records in the 15-16 Boys 50 Fly, 100 Fly, 200 Fly, and the Open Boys 50 Fly. Sydney Eastman broke the GCST 17-18 Girls 50 Fly record. GCST held our Annual Halloween Party at the Embassy Suites in Tampa on Saturday October 11. The swimmers had some very creative costumes on as they competed in the team scavenger hunt. It was a fun part of the #funnestmeet.

GCST was awarded the Area 5 Championships to be held at FGCU on July 29 to August 2, 2015, and the All-Florida Senior Circuit / Olympic Trials Qualifier Meet at FGCU on May 13-15, 2016.

12 GCST Masters, and 1 club team swimmer competed Saturday in the Tropical Splash OW Race at Sarasota, FL The conditions were very rough as a cold front passed through the area on race day. The 5K was reduced to a 2.5K due to the conditions in the Gulf of Mexico. Wayne Hannum was a winner for GCST in the Male 60-64 2.5K. 2.5K Results 1K Results

Several GCST swimmers participated in the Pool Safety Day at the North Ft. Myers Community Pool. Pool Safety Day is held by Lee County Parks & Recreation to build public awareness of the importance of safety around water. GCST was proud to help and learn about water safety from the NFM lifeguards during this event.

Savannah Bowser competed at the FSPA High School Invitational at Stuart, FL on September 27th, and finaled in her 2 individual events. Savannah finished 5th in the 200 Free with a 1:54.85, and took 7th in the 100 Free with a 53.99.
