GCST swimmers Hannah Albion, and Blake Woodrow led the Florida Swimming All- Star team as they won their 4k races. Savannah Bowser finished 2nd in the 13-14 girls and Kaitlyn Hauser finished 5th. Eddie Zacka finished 7th in the 15-18 Boys. Darrien Heil finished 8th in the 11-12 Boys. Florida Swimming won the team title with 114.5 to Gold Coasts 107.5.
The results are now in for the Crippen Mile. The event was a huge success as over 230 Masters, and USA Swimming registered swimmers came out to support Fran Crippen's Eleveation Foundation. All procedes from the event were donated to the foundation. The event was held on Saturday June 11th on a beautiful sunny day on the Gulf of Mexico at Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Thanks to our awesome GCST parents, we had 2 successful SAT's on Wednesday, June 8th at our San Carlos Park Pool, and North Ft. Myers Pool. The kids swim the laps, the parents providied lots of food, we had relays, and Coach Don, and Jon McLeod in the dunk tank. The dunk tank raised $99 as the swimmers lined up to take their best shots, and many did dunk Jon, and Coach Don. Our GCST parents did a great job making this the most exciting and fun SAT in team...
We have added 3 new Summer League meets to our schedule. GCST has partnered with T2 Aquatics for a very good series of summer meets. The meets are at the Norris Pool in Naples and are for Bronze, Silver, and Gold swimmers. The dates for these meets are: July 5 July 12 Please click "Attend" to sign up your swimmer. The coaches will pick the events.
