9 GCST swimmers were selected for the Florida Swimming Open Water All-Star Team to compete against the FGC All-Stars at miromar Lakes, FL on April 28th, 2012. Fort Myers, FL - from ABC-7 John Henry, 44, of Fort Myers weighed in at 400 pounds after he returned from a cruise in Feb. 2011. Today, he checks in at 280 pounds, still overweight, but closer to his goal of 230 pounds. Gulf Coast Swim Team has kicked off our 2012 Swim-A-Thon with a new website promotion.  The Swim-A-Thon will take place on June 27 at the San Carlos Park Community Pool, and the North Ft. Myers Community Pool.  All active GCST swimmers are required to participate in this program as this is our only fundraiser for the year.
