2012 Swim-A-Thon funds must be turned in by July 6th.  SAT will be turned off at that time and all rankings will become final.  Swimmers that have not met their requirements will have the amount due added to their accounts. OMAHA – Every year, a new crop of “number-one” ranked 10-year-old swimmers are unveiled. These are children who wear Harry Potter pajamas and read with 5th grade reading levels – because they’re in the 5th grade. They have shown that they are the best in the United States of America, and they could conceivably one day -- should everything work out -- aspire to Olympic proportions. Of these annually renewing gaggles of ranked male swimmers, only two men (whom I’m aware) who ever broke age group national records as 10-year-olds...

UPDATE: With Tropical Storm Debby churning in the Gulf of Mexico, GCST Masters swimmers Heather Roka, Thomas Pear, John Henry, and Bill Sawyer competed in the Swim Around Key West Open Water Swim.  Heather completed the course in 5 hours 20 minutes and finished 2nd in her age group and 7th overall in the women's race. The Relay of John Henry, Thomas Pear, and Bill Sawyer finished 14th in 6:49.56.

McKenna Fiore won the 8 & Under Girls High Point Award. Mikayla Puckett won the 10 & Under Girls runner up High Point Award. Savannah Bowser won the runner up 13-14 Girls High Point Award.
