USA Swimming is proud to announce that 1500 women and men have been named to the 2008-09 Scholastic All-America Team.  This is an increase of over 50 percent from the 2007-08 team. The 2008-09 team is composed of 905 women and 595 men.  Two-thirds of the team members achieved a 4.0 GPA.  There was one perfect score this year – Dagny Knutson of G.S.K. 31 New Championship Cuts Made at the SWIM Fall Invitational...11 High Point Award Winners GCST swimmers started the short course season with some oustanding swims and several high point award winners at the SWIM Fall Invitational. 31 new championship cuts made. 22 event winners.  Harry Stephenson was selected to the 2009-10 USA National Youth Team based on his finish in the 2009 National 10K.  The team will compete in an international competition in 2010.  Congratulations Harry! National Youth Team selections

The Club Recognition Program offers our club members a working blueprint for developing strong, stable, financially sound and athletically productive organizations. Designed over a two year period by USA Swimming’s Club Development Committee, this voluntary program presents four levels of achievement across four component areas deemed critical to long-term club success. Greg Bowser and Harry Stephenson break 6 GCST Records at Junior Nationals 6 GCST Records fell at the 2009 Speedo Long Course Junior Nationals with Greg Bowser breaking the 15-16 Boys 200 Free (1:56.39), 400 Free (4:03.47), and 200 Fly (2:09.21) records. GCST swimmers have a blast at Juniors...Time drops in 11 of 14 swims for best JR. Nationals ever The Long Course Junior Nationals in Seattle, Wa has been the most successful Juniors for GCST ever. Heather Roka cleans up at Master Nationals with a 2nd and two 3rds Thursday Results: A big day for Heather Roka with 2 swims today. Heather finished 2nd overall in the Women's 200 Fly with a 2:30.35 and 2nd in her age group.Heather also picked up another 3rd in the 400 Free with a 4:40.50. at the USA Masters National Long Course Championships in Indianapolis, IN.
